KISM Members Obligation When Electing Leaders Nov. 21, 2019, 11:07 a.m.

KISM elections

The members of KISM (Kenya Institute of Supplies Management) the body governing procurement profession in Kenya shall exercise their right to vote for the chairman and council members on 10 January 2020.

Rights come with obligations. Therefore, let it be impressed on your mind as KISM member that God commands you to choose leaders that are, “just men/women who will rule in the fear of God”

The preservation of our KISM and procurement profession in East Africa depends on the faithful discharge of this duty.

If KISM members neglect their duty and place unprincipled men and women in office, KISM will soon be corrupted; policies will be made, not for the members good but for selfish purposes; corrupt practices will be order of the day, the revenues will be squandered; and the rights of the members will be violated or disregarded.

If KISM fails to secure prosperity, it must be because the members neglect the Divine Commands, and elect bad people to lead KISM.

“When the Godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan” (Proverbs 29:2).

You are already engaging nominees for KISM leadership through interactive sessions such as; town hall meetings, debates, newspaper interviews, manifestos consultative forums, social media posts and background checks.
